Dub techno and IDM were built on demos. Tapes and files passed from hand to hand, played late, answered slowly. Most of that listening has moved to feeds that skip after eight seconds.
In Corpus a demo is heard to the end. Every month a member may press one demo record, and only after listening to someone else's demo all the way through and writing at least 500 characters about it. Your demo is what they will be listening to.
Corpus is made by one person and paid for only by its members. There are no ads, no investors and no data sold. Nobody takes a commission from your demo.
Every demo on Corpus is pressed as a white label: a plain sleeve, the maker's name stamped on the label, the sound heard first. A gift keeps that culture going.
Selling comes later. When the sales service opens you will sell your own demo yourself, and the money is yours in full.
